This (c)hunk of cast aluminum was an appliance named the “breakfaster”. Looks like it would swallow something the size and shape of a bagel while the hotplate kept your favorite cup of java sizzling. In googling this baby i came across some industrial redesigner who turned one of these into a hard drive. Go figure! This is an S roll tambour which is intact and functions like new. Au Tourist was a competitor of Louis Vuitton in Paris in the early part of the twentieth Century.
